Trish and Lance met at a 5K run at a local Fort Worth brewery (Rahr & Sons) in celebration of Oktoberfest. Trish and one of her friends and sister were sitting at a table after the event, enjoying beers and listening to the German music. Lance and his friend Shane came up to the table explaining that there weren’t many places to sit and asked if they could join the girls and sit down. Little did the girls know there were in fact many open tables around, but of course they said yes. Lance sat next to Trish and what started as a group conversation quickly turned into Lance and Trish sharing pictures of their dogs on Instagram and talking about their latest travels.

A few minutes later Lance was asking Trish if she was currently dating anyone, and while her answer was, “well, not seriously”, he got her number and…the rest is history!
