Oh, where do I begin with these two?! I remember the moment I met with them for coffee one year ago to talk about their Gleneagles Country Club wedding, hear all about their engagement story and future wedding plans, I thought to myself – Emily and Michael both had the biggest, most joyful smiles! Michael was cracking jokes, and Emily was giggling so infectiously. So I couldn’t help but just keep smiling the entire meeting. I noticed my smiling muscles were twitching when I was leaving the meeting. Seriously! And I just knew their big day would be perfect!
It also was clear Emily was a #valentinavladi bride (and I guess together they would be a #valentinavladi couple :-p)! Our photography tastes match so perfectly! We were on the same page with literally everything – starting with their engagement session location ending with their wedding timeline! Over that next year, I have followed Emily online. Instagram, to be exact. To their walks with the doggie. To their new home in New York. And everywhere in between.
Nothing had changed since our first meeting. If anything, they’d grown closer together. More in love, if that was even possible. So it didn’t surprise me — not one bit — when I showed up on the wedding day, and Emily’s biggest smile greeted me again from the makeup chair, in a cute robe with a big hug. Do you know what else didn’t surprise me? That their parents and their wedding party were the same — because birds of a feather fly together. And I sure loved this flock.
Emily and Michael, thank you for being one of the happiest and giggliest (if its even a word) couples I’ve had honor to photograph! I absolutely love you guys and I wish you long and happy life together!
