Everyone who’s ever tried to shoot some Dallas engagement photos in February knows how unstable the weather is. I notice more and more colleagues of mine are turning toward indoor locations for their photo sessions. And indoor locations are great, but outdoor sunlight just feels so fresh and authentic! It reflects the true essence of the couple during their engagement period of life. An “outdoor” one!
That’s why for Emily and Michael we’ve choose an outdoors. Yes, even in February.
Emily and I have been tracking the weather forecast for two weeks in advance, keep crossing our fingers it won’t be raining on the day of. And it happened! No rain, so that was a go!
Texas weather, however, sill played a trick on us! When we arrived at the place, it was sunny and warm, but… the wind speed was 19mph! It was like staying in a hurricane tunnel simulator at a science museum the entire time! Beautiful Emily in her gorgeous yellow short dress had Marilyn Monroe Moment every 10 seconds! Try to shoot it staying PG for save the dates 😄 I, by the way, adore her dress! I should get for y’all some reference on when she got it!
Back to the topic – we’ve made it though! Michael was cracking jokes and Emily was giggling so cute that shooting them was just a breeze or a hurricane wind! Despite all the crazy weather we’ve just proved that it is totally doable to get an engagement photos done outdoors in winter time in Dallas area. And we must’ve laughed the entire time because I notice a little smiling muscle twitch on my face on my way back from the session! Emily and Michael, love you guys, and can’t wait to capture your wedding!!
